LG G3 Beat recently launched in Korea, also known as LG G3 S in Europe, is now available for pre-order from online retailer MobileFun in UK. This is the first retailer to launch a campaign and already listed the 8GB white color LG G3 S unlocked device.
Android smartphone users of UK can now book their 8GB SIM-free and unlocked LG G3 S for €378 or £299. This means the LG G3 S cost about €200 below the 16GB version of its G3 flagship sibling – quite a reasonable offer.
The G3 S looks very much like the full-size G3 with the floating arc design and buttons on the back side. It will be available in black, white and gold.
Possibly the reason why LG decided not to call the handset the LG G3 mini is because it has a 5in screen – the same size as the LG G2. It doesn’t have the Quad HD resolution of its bigger brother and not even Full HD – that means it has just 720p HD on offer. It is an IPS class display though and has a high 74 percent screen to body ratio.
It has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor (1.2 GHz Quad-Core) and 1GB of RAM. There’s just 8GB of internal storage and microSD card slot for external memory.
The rear camera is 8 MP which is lower resolution than the LG G3 but retains the Laser Auto Focus. A 1.3Mp shooter can be found at the front. It has 4G support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and NFC but there’s no sign of an IR blaster.
The G3 Beat runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat and has some of the same software features of the flagship G3 such as the Smart Keyboard and Gesture Shot. It has a 2540mAh removable battery.

Unfortunately it’s up for pre-order with no release date on Mobilefun. LG G3 S isn’t listed just yet on other popular UK retailers such as Clove, Expansys and Carphone Warehouse.
